POSITION SUMMARY: To provide effective instructional services for students in extra-curricular subjects and to maintain accurate and detailed records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plans and implements activity/lesson plans for students that are in alignment with the instructed subject.
- Lessons specific to the needs of the students with high levels of student engagement opportunities;
- Keeps appropriate documentation for the 21st Century Learning Center Program;
- Attends professional development opportunities when requested by the Principal and/or supervisor;
- Encourages parent involvement;
- Develops on-going communication with program supervisor regarding student progress and challenges;
- Attends all mandatory 21st Century Learning Center meetings;
- Participates in national and state after-school events and training sessions to improve knowledge and enhance personal and professional growth;
- Other duties as may be assigned.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
- For the class in which will be instructing, must have proficient knowledge base or experience
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1968;
- Must maintain a current Fingerprint Clearance Card.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- One year related experience or training.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Computer Skills – Demonstrated competency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing.
- Communication Skills – Ability to read and interpret general documents such as employee handbooks and safety/training manuals. Ability to write general correspondence and speak effectively with others.
- Math Ability – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms. Ability to apply reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee occasionally will stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee will frequently interact with the public and other staff members. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
