ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • General Responsibilities
  • Coordinates development, implementation, monitoring and revision of after-school and summer school program
  • Implements applicable district, agency and grant policies, procedures and regulations applicable to program
  • Participates in events and training sessions to improve knowledge and enhance personal and professional growth
  • Program Planning:
  • Makes certain all academic classes are being taught in accordance to Arizona State Standards
  • Follows procurement and requisition requirements/procedures
  • Manages all outside vendor/contractor paperwork and submits it to the principal
  • Coordinates bus departures with Director of Transportation to ensure all students transportation needs are safely met
  • Coordinates snack schedule with Food Service Director for duration of program
  • Actively seeks and positively promotes community involvement and support in program planning to meet needs of children and community
  • Implementation:
  • Establishes and maintains communication with staff as related to student needs and all aspects of after-school program
  • Accurately maintains records required by state department and meets reporting deadlines
  • Makes certain all employees sign in and out on time sheets and forwards accurate records to payroll in a timely manner
  • On a regular basis, meets with business director and grants coordinator to ensure grant funds and expenditures remain within grant guidelines and the budget
  • Maintenance:
  • Performs periodic program evaluations, analyzes and interprets data with teachers and understands the correlation between assessment data and classroom instruction
  • Properly groups students in academic classes based on individual needs reevaluating as necessary
  • Works with the school improvement committee to continually offer a wide range of academic and life skills classes beneficial to the community we serve
  • Provides oral and written reports to the Governing Board, community agencies and the state
  • Collaborates with other grant recipients and community resources to provide value added instruction
    • Other duties as may be assigned

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION:

  • Current WUSD#9 Certificated employee in good standing is preferred

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

  • Communicates effectively with the immediate supervisor and other administrators
  • Excellent oral and written skills

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Computer Skills – Demonstrated competency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing.
  • Communication Skills – Ability to read and interpret general documents such as employee handbooks and safety/training manuals. Ability to write general correspondence and speak effectively with others.
  • Math Ability – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms. Ability to apply reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
  • Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear.  The employee occasionally will stand and walk.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  Employee will frequently interact with the public and other staff members.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
